It all started when…

In November of 2016, Erica Charron established Erica’s Board Creations. Previous to this date, Erica aspired to make changes in her life. She had attended board classes and found the process enjoyable and interesting. Her aspirations of change; coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and dream of being a business owner helped her idea of Erica’s Board Creations come to fruition. Erica started her business by hosting board parties in women’s garages and basements. After a successful year of operating her business in this way, she knew it was time to take the next step and open a storefront! She knew that Rockton was to be the home for her business. Erica grew up in Rockton and loves the small-town feel of the community.

At Erica’s Board Creations, we pride ourselves in helping people create a beautiful, custom board by sanding, staining, and painting a unique piece of art all on your own. We hope that the experience we help cultivate whether in our shop, at a home party, or a special event becomes part of your special memories. Creating alongside your friends and family is what we encourage and hope for the most at Erica’s Board Creations.

Erica personally finds painting to be extremely therapeutic. Three years ago when Erica decided to start her business, she also made the brave decision to gain her sobriety. At the beginning of this particular journey, she struggled with anxiety. Painting helped calm her anxiety and to this day, Erica still uses painting as a form of therapy for herself. Some look at her shop and see a successful business, but to Erica, the shop is so much more. The hard work and creation of this business shows the power in change, the beauty that comes from pursuing your dreams, and gives Erica a platform to be an example for others struggling with addiction that the sky is the limit when you face your struggles head-on!
